0:05 During my tenure on the RID Board of Directors for RID as the Deaf Member At Large (DMAL), I had the privilege of meeting many individuals working at RID Headquarters.
0:17 This group was composed of many hard-working and passionate people.
0:26 As many of you may know, the COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted RID Headquarters with the necessity for everyone to work remotely.
0:36 I also recognize that we are at a crossroad.
0:46 My plan of action is to push to enhance RID’s services to better serve our membership.
0:59 This will require us to provide support and tools to the headquarters staff to effectively meet the needs of our membership.
0:16 As we pivot towards becoming more accountable, it requires us to look at current systems in place as well as the tools headquarters staff can tap which includes leveraging modern technology that is available today. This will also aid in providing better services to our members and best stewardship of the revenues from membership dues.
